I had The Doll Planet make me a special item: a Mego-style doll of Winter Agent Juno, from my dystopian thriller novel series of the same name!
Using a Dorothy head and a Zica “Yvonne” body, and a selection of other items from Mego reproduction companies, they’ve brought Juno into the third dimension. They even jacked up her right eye just like in the books.
This project forced me to come up with concrete sketches for the thermosuits worn by people in Juno’s world, which help protect them against the perpetual cold of nuclear winter. She also has a knife and a mead horn to make survival a bit easier.
Might have to produce other characters as well. Maybe the bad guys from Last of the Ghost Lions?
Whenever I do signings of my Winter Agent Juno books, I’ll be accompanied by this little cutie: a Pinky Street I cobbled together of Juno, herself! She’s rather fearsome for a little fashion lemming.
She’s compiled from the parts of at least five different Pinky Street dolls, plus an eyepatch I had to make myself out of felt. In the future I may try making a few more and using them in giveaways.
